Cascade NW Construction is based in Molalla, Oregon, and we've worked on projects throughout the Portland metro area, Clackamas County, the Salem area and beyond—including projects in Government Camp.

We regularly work in communities such as Portland, Oregon City, Wilsonville, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Newberg and throughout the surrounding Portland and Albany areas.

We've also taken on projects outside these areas when the project is a good fit for our team and expertise. Rather than setting a strict geographic boundary, we look at the project, location and logistics to determine whether we're the right fit.

We provide a 10-year craftsmanship warranty on our work. If something isn't performing as it should, we'll inspect it and determine whether the issue is related to our workmanship, a manufacturer defect or another cause. We document our work throughout the project to help us properly evaluate any concerns.

Even when something isn't technically a warranty issue, we still want to know about it. Failed caulking, for example, can allow moisture in and eventually lead to rot. We'd rather catch and address a small problem early than let it become a much bigger one.

We don't just want to build it right—we want to stand behind it.

We've been at this for a long time and we have found that having all of our communication in one online file is the best for both the client and us. 

When you work with us, you will have a link to a portal for all things related to your project! Your estimate, photos, drawings, permits, questions, responses - they are all in there. No need to look back through emails, texts and voicemails. 

Our team checks the portal and responds while you also see progress photos and notes about homework you might have due such as selections and deadlines. 

After listening to the details of what you want, we then want to understand why you want it and the way you will be using it. 

That can immediately get our brain into problem-solving mode along with the best implementation on all aspects. Creative solutions that still get to the finish line but potentially with more outside the box thinking.

Construction is a hands-on trade, and a lot of knowledge is passed from one tradesperson to another. That's valuable, but the industry can also fall into a pattern of "this is how we've always done it."

We don't believe that's enough.

Our team invests in continuing education and stays current on building practices, products and building-envelope science. We also work with building-envelope specialists and other professionals when a project calls for expertise beyond our own.

We're constantly asking:

Is this still the best way to build it? Can we do it better? Will it hold up years from now?

That mindset matters, especially here in Oregon, where moisture and weather can expose poor construction practices over time.

Our goal isn't simply to pass inspection or get the project finished. We want to understand why we're building something a certain way and have confidence that it will continue to perform long after we're gone.

Because some of the most important parts of a home are the parts you'll never see.

A finished wall can look perfect while something behind it has been installed incorrectly. A beautiful window can still have a poor flashing or sealing detail. A new exterior can look great while water-management details have been overlooked.

Good construction isn't just about what you can see.

It's about what happens behind the walls, underneath the siding, around the windows and at all the little transitions where one material meets another.

That's why we're a little obsessed with getting the details right.

We want the work to look good today—and still be working the way it should years from now.

Building practices, materials, products and our understanding of building science continue to evolve. Something that was considered an acceptable practice years ago isn't necessarily the best approach today.

That's why we believe you should never stop learning just because you've been doing something for a long time.

We invest in continuing education so our team can keep learning about better installation methods, moisture management, building-envelope performance, products and construction practices.

We're not interested in simply repeating what we've always done.

We want to know what works, why it works and how we can do better.

Oregon's wet climate makes moisture management especially important.

Water doesn't always cause a problem immediately. A small gap, failed flashing detail, improperly installed window or poorly sealed penetration can allow moisture into places you can't see. Over time, that can lead to rot, mold and expensive structural damage.

That's why we pay close attention to how water gets into a building, how it gets out, and how the materials and assemblies around it are designed to perform.

We work with building-envelope specialists and continue our education in this area because we don't want to simply repair the damage—we want to understand what caused it and build in a way that helps prevent it from happening again..

You'll always want to verify that the company you hire to work on your home or property is properly licensed and insured! Here is how you do that. 

The Construction Contractors Board (CCB) is the website to search that a company has passed their tests and continue to hold the Contractors license.

Then you type in the company's CCB # to find and make sure their license is ACTIVE. Then click more details to see their Insurance and Bond is up to date. You are also able to see if there have been any claims against them as well as previous companies they were a part of (You might want to check if there were any claims against the previous companies as well, since they could shut one business down and start a new one)
